Happenings of Months Past and What's to Come

Quarterly Newsletter

  • Thank you VyStar for your grant of $1,500 to support Developed 2 Overcome as we continue to work in the community.

  • Thank you Bank of American for allowing your employees to volunteer at Developed 2 Overcome and achieving milestones of 50 hours and greater individually, which led to $2,000 in grants.

  • Developed 2 Overcome is pleased to be a registered certified Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses (JSEBs) member. JSEB encourages the private sector and local government to aggressively engage with JSEB's to develop productive business relationships leading to economic growth for the City.

  • Members of Developed 2 Overcome volunteered to help run the 5th Annual Persimmon Festival, hosted by Eat Your Yard on November 2nd. The 7th Annual Persimmon Festival is a vibrant celebration of the fall harvest season, featuring a variety of activities and events. Attendees can enjoy persimmon tasting, persimmon themed treats, live music, local vendors, children's activities, and special talk by regions experts throughout the day

  • D2O supported Clara White Mission, Feed the City event on November 22nd by implementing a fundraising program to raise funding to purchase food, beverages, and all the necessary supplies to serve approximately 250 individuals. In addition, approximately 300 volunteers participated in the event.

  • During the 2025 school season, Developed 2 Overcome worked with the staff and students at Sanctuary on 8* Street, totaling 33 hours of classroom activities. During this time, volunteers met middle school youths to discuss various topics to enhance their communication skills, teamwork, self-confidence, to name a few topics.

  • Members of Bank of American volunteer 87 hours to support D2O. The volunteer hours consisted of researching grants opportunities, recruiting volunteers, website enhancements, and working with the community.

  • D2O continued to provide volunteer support at Horse Sense & Sensitivity during the months of October, November and December, 63 hours were recorded during this period
